Sending a headshot to a Talent Agency or Casting Director is a lot like putting a half-complete dating profile into the world. The person on the other end gets an idea of what you look like, but they don’t get the substance. That’s where a Demo Reel comes into play.

A Demo Reel, also known as an Actor Reel, is a compilation of your best moments from several productions. It allows you as an actor to package and market yourself based on your skills. You can showcase your comedic timing, your dramatic side, or your range, depending on what your goal is. More importantly, a Demo Reel shows the Casting Director or Agency that you have experience on set and gives them an idea of what they can expect when they call you in for an audition or meeting.

At JIG Reel Studios, we specialize in helping actors build their Actor Reels. We discuss with you what your end goal is, as well as what strengths you want to showcase. After that, you work with a writer to create one or more Produced Scenes designed especially for you. Once your scripts are ready, you work with a professional crew to film and edit them. We provide the equipment, cast, and locations, so all you have to worry about is giving the best performance you can. Once your scenes are completed, we offer Edited Reels, which allow you to work with our editor to take the best moments from your scenes and consolidate them into one Demo Reel.
